Anyone who says, "I've never pulled out an AMD CPU in my life" is likely to have really stuck to computer repair or have never experienced that kind of thermal yet. That's because 1st and 2nd generation CPUs are almost gone now and the next generation CPU thermal is an improved thermal that will leave the thermal oil over time, so it falls off easily if you twist it. It's very rare, but some people come (because there's no thermal) to put the CPU and cooler heatsink together. (I almost got the lid on the AMD CPU while removing the cooler. If the substrate is not removed with an appropriate force (so that it does not peel off) then it will have to be removed in a different way.
