노트북의 마우스 포인터가 멈추는 증상이 있다고 하는데, 해당 증상은 발생되지 않았고 CPU 발열이 80도가 넘어가는 문제가 있고 윈도우 업데이트가 실패하는 문제가 있는 삼성 노트북입니다. 윈도우7 설치된 노트북인데, 윈도우10으로 업그레이드를 했으면 좋겠는데, 기존에 사용하는 환경이 윈도우7을 사용해야 하는 환경이라서, 윈도우 재설치 없이 악성 코드만 치료했습니다. 

 

 그리고 CPU 발열이 높은 건, CPU 위에 발려진 서멀 구리스가 오래되면, 말라서 제 역할을 못해서 그렇습니다. 새로운 서멀을 다시 바르고 내부 먼지랑 동물털(고양이털)을 제거했습니다. 온도는 80도에서 70도로 떨어졌습니다. CPU 발열이 있는 제품이지만, 동작 상의 큰 문제는 없어 보여서 출고했습니다. 병점에서 찾아주신 손님의 노트북 분해기록입니다.

It's a Samsung laptop, and it's NT-RF710-S76 with the model name SENS. It's been over 10 years. It's a laptop that's almost 15 years old. Sometimes it's problematic to repair at this age, so it's ambiguous to repair it. It's a model that can break down while disassembling. It's been the last time you brought a new laptop before you bought it. They want you to use it for a year.

I don't know if I'll be able to use it for another year. Since you bought it, you have never re-applied the thermal grease and you're raising a cat, so it's got a lot of hair stuck in it. It was a high-spec CPU, and if you used it with a lot of dust and hair on it, your internal heat may not have been properly relieved. So, I'm going to take it apart, clean it up, and repot it on the thermal compound.

I removed the cover on my laptop. It's old and stuck, so the cover doesn't come off very well.

I removed the CPU heat sink (copper color) and wiped away the existing hardened thermal. And I applied a new thermal re-applied.

Reassemble the CPU heat sink and reassemble the CPU cooling fan power connector.

 

Reseat the CPU heat sink and connect the power cable to the CPU cooling fan.

It's a laptop with two DDR3 2GB of memory that's hard to see these days. When you disassemble it like this, it's good to disassemble the memory as well and clean the slot and gold finger contact point.

To see if the laptop was working properly, I assembled only the screws on the hinge part of the laptop and turned the laptop on. Below is the placement of the broken screws. There are 2 small screws on the battery as well, and there are hidden screws under the anti-slip pad on the bottom left side. (Arrow on the shell of the laptop)

If the storage device of the above laptop is an SSD, you can do this kind of cleaning, and it's a hard disk, you'd be worried. There's no point in cleaning the hard disk. The hard disk is slow. High CPU temperature is a problem, but it's because the slow disk is a bigger reason.

 

​

 

Now, computers-laptops used as hard disks take much longer to repair than SSD-equipped devices, so hard disk devices can only proceed at an additional cost. When a computer with a hard disk comes in, we always recommend changing (additional) upgrades to SSD. (For a computer with a hard disk, it's more than 10 years of age, so it's more efficient to replace the entire computer system.)

 

It was equipped with an SSD, so I was able to clean it. If it's a hard disk, it's slow to clean. This is because the slow search/transfer speed of the hard disk is the cause.

The temperature after cleaning the laptop is about 70 degrees when the same test program is run. Usually, it's around 50 degrees when you're not doing anything.

Laptop test program 80 degrees => 70 degrees, and when I'm doing nothing, the temperature drops to 70 degrees => 50 degrees. This is how thermal compound replacement works, and some laptops are similarly heated even when they are re-applied. That's how it was born. Instead, the CPU temperature remains the same, but the CPU's operating speed (power used) goes up and up, so it can be faster. Because there are different laptop models, I'll have to try to find out. I think I'll look it up and search for it before working on thermal re-application.
